Roberta Ceretto

Director of Marketing, Ceretto Winery

Third generation of one of the most historic and eclectic Piedmontese wine families.

Roberta was born in Turin in 1972 but spent her entire life in the Langhe. Traveler for passion, study and work, she can’t help but return to her beloved hills.

She earned a degree in foreign languages from the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy in Turin with a thesis on South African literature; however, she chose her family and the Langhe for his university career.

In 1999, she began working with her father Bruno and was immediately involved in the renovation project of the Brunate chapel in la Morra (today better known as the Barolo Chapel), reinterpreted with the colors of the artists Sol LeWitt and David Tremlett. This is the family’s first approach to contemporary art which will be followed by many other cultural initiatives, site-specific projects and exhibitions from Ansel Kiefer to Francesco Clemente but also Kiki Smith, Marina Abramovich, Ellsworth Kelly, Patti Smith and Lynn Davis. Since then, art has been her passion, which she combines with the work that sees her most engaged, i.e. public relations, promotion, marketing, and the organization of events for all the now numerous family businesses, both wine and restaurants (La Piola restaurants and Piazza Duomo in Alba).

Together with her brother Federico and her cousins Alessandro and Lisa, she has been at the helm of the Ceretto sil wineries since January 2019 and is the director of Marketing. She is also the mother of 6-year-old Bruno.
