- Married to Gord Zivanovic, PhD Chemical Engineer, working for Huntsman in The Woodlands. We have two sons, Zachary 18 and Spencer 4.
- Born in Toronto, Canada.
- Fluent in French.
- Competitive athlete, was heavily recruited for track and cross country scholarship by Penn State, Dartmouth College, University of Kansas and University of Michigan.
- Still hold the indoor record for the 1000 meter at University of Kansas.
- Graduate of University of Kansas with pre-med degree in Human Biology.
- Upon graduating from college in 1991, traveled to Paris, France and worked for 6 months for a catering company.
- Worked in restaurants since 1983. Developed a strong passion for service and building customer relationships.
- Began studying wine on my own through reading and going to tastings sponsored by various restaurants and distributors.
- Lived in South Eastern Michigan for 9 years. Worked for fine dining seafood restaurant as part of server training management and assistant wine buyer.
- Moved to The Woodlands 5 years ago and began working for Perry's Steakhouse shortly after arriving. Promoted to wine steward after first year. Promoted to Corporate Sommelier one year later.
- Passed Certified Level of Court of Master Sommelier Guild in October of 2006. Plan to sit the Advanced Level October 2009. Aspire to reach Master Sommelier level. (only 96 currently in the US, 13 of which are women)
