Laurent Mazeau

Laurent MAZEAU, 58 years old. Born at Château Toutigeac, family wine-estate acquired in 1928 by his great grand-father, wine distributor in Paris. After spending a year in England to perfect his English, Laurent Mazeau left for the U.S.A. and stayed there for 10 years working for wines importers, distributors and retailers.

He came back to France in 1980 to open his own business specialized in the sale of wines to the U.S. market. In 1985 his father retiring, he took over the management of one of family estate : Château de Costis. During the following 20 years he kept working on improving the quality of the products and on enlarging the vineyard.

From 1988 to 2008, 45 awards medals, including 14 Gold, have been obtained at the official wines contests in France and abroad. In 2006, the Vignobles Laurent Mazeau obtained the Certificate of Reasoned Agriculture (Sustainable Agriculture) Both Laurent's children are qualified Agronomical Engineer backed by an Oenologist diploma for his daughter. Seems like future is traced.
