John Curry is originally from Lafayette, LA. After leaving college in 1996 John found an interest and a love for wine. He began working for benjy's restaurant in Rice Village while juggling a career in the music business. In 2001 his dreams of signing to a Major Record Label came true when his band goneblind signed with Universal.

After 4 years of constant touring came to an end John was asked to play guitar and write for Scott Stapp from the band Creed. He agreed and continued to learn and study wine through the Gallo Wine Academy and on off days of touring would visit wineries. When John left Scott Stapp to finally return home he wanted to follow his love for wine, landing a job at Max's Wine Dive where he quickly became in charge of the wine program.

After several months he met Rodney and Amy of the Crescent Moon and the rest is history. John is currently the Sommelier, Wine Buyer, and Manager of the Crescent Moon Wine Bar.
